About us
Castelli Institute was founded by Tina Ferraiuolo and Shona Finnie who wished to combine their many years of experience in tourism, education and their love for travel and socialization on a cultural level. They both actively take part in the organization, the tour leading and the cultural and linguistic lessons. Staff is carefully chosen and must have the following qualifications: English and Italian mother-tongue (for teaching), professional experience in tourism business, fluency in other languages, positive attitude, excellent comunication skills.
Tina Ferraiuolo a native of New York who has lived in Italy all her adult life. Over the years she has travelled extensively throughout the USA and Europe. After working for many years with the United Nations in Rome, several years ago she changed direction and has since been involved in tourism and teaching languages to people of all ages and at all levels.
Shona Finnie was born in Glasgow and has lived all over Europe before finally settling in Rome a few years ago. A qualified teacher, she has worked in both education and tourism for the past 16 years.
Veronica Poggi Puel born in Rome, is a U.S./Italian national who has dedicated many years to teaching English becoming especially successful in semi-intensive and full immersion programmes.
Armando Jules Rosato he has been working in the tour business all his life accompanyning foreigners around Europe, the middle east and far east. His fields of interest are archeology, world folklore and local traditions and customs. He is specialized in Italy and Greece and speaks fluent English, Italian and conversational Greek.
